Luzora Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you access or use Luzora. Luzora is a browser-first recurring task manager that helps you save website routines, create tasks from the current page, schedule reminders, track completions, and sync your account and task data across supported browsers.

Please read these Terms carefully. By installing the Luzora browser extension, creating an account, visiting our website, clicking an agreement checkbox, or using any part of Luzora, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Luzora.

In these Terms, "Luzora", "we", "us", and "our" mean Luzora and the people or entities operating Luzora. "You" means the person using Luzora and, if you use Luzora for an organization, the organization you represent.

1. Agreement to these Terms

  1. 1.1 What these Terms cover

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Luzora browser extension, website, account system, task sync, reminders, notification features, page-detection features, support features, referral features, and any other Luzora product, software, page, or service we make available now or later.

  2. 1.2 Authority to agree

If you use Luzora for a company, team, school, client, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization. In that case, "you" includes both you and that organization.

  3. 1.3 Additional terms

Some Luzora features may have extra terms, instructions, store disclosures, privacy notices, or product rules. If extra terms apply to a feature, they apply in addition to these Terms. If there is a conflict, the feature-specific terms control only for that feature.

2. What Luzora does

  1. 2.1 Core purpose

Luzora helps you save recurring tasks and website activities from your browser. You can create tasks, add links, choose recurrence rules, set times, organize projects or folders, mark tasks as done, undo certain completions, pause tasks, receive reminders, and use supported shortcuts.

  2. 2.2 Browser-first features

Luzora may use browser permissions to identify the page you choose to save, open saved task links, show notifications, store local settings, and sync task data. These features are meant to support your task workflow, not to monitor your browsing for unrelated purposes.

  3. 2.3 Not a sensitive-data vault

Luzora is not a password manager, secrets manager, banking app, medical record system, legal archive, or emergency-response tool. Do not store passwords, API keys, private keys, seed phrases, card details, bank details, government IDs, medical information, confidential client information, or other sensitive secrets in task titles, notes, folders, projects, or links.

  4. 2.4 Not professional advice

Luzora provides productivity software. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, compliance, security, or professional advice. You are responsible for deciding how to use Luzora in your own workflow.

3. Eligibility

  1. 3.1 Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use Luzora. If the law where you live requires a higher age to use online services or consent to these Terms, you must meet that higher age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Luzora only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

  2. 3.2 Legal capacity

You confirm that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms and that your use of Luzora is not prohibited by law.

  3. 3.3 Compliance

You must comply with all laws that apply to your use of Luzora, including laws related to privacy, data protection, intellectual property, anti-spam, export control, sanctions, employment, recordkeeping, and acceptable online conduct.

4. Accounts, signup, and verification

  1. 4.1 Account information

To use account-based features, you may need to create a Luzora account using a valid email address and password. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information current.

  2. 4.2 Email verification

We may require you to verify your email address before using some or all features, continuing after a grace period, recovering your account, changing sensitive settings, or completing sensitive account actions.

  3. 4.3 Username and profile

You may be able to choose or edit a username, avatar emoji, avatar background color, language, and other profile settings. We may limit username changes, reject usernames, remove profile content, or reclaim usernames that are misleading, offensive, infringing, inactive, reserved, or harmful.

  4. 4.4 Account responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account, browser profile, device, session, and credentials, whether or not you authorized the activity. Notify us promptly at hello.luzora@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Passwords and account security

  1. 5.1 Your security duties

You must keep your password, device, browser profile, email account, and recovery methods secure. Use a strong password, do not share your credentials, and be careful with phishing attempts or impersonation.

  2. 5.2 Password handling

Luzora uses Supabase Auth for authentication, password reset, and password updates. We do not ask you to save your password inside a task, and you should never place passwords or secrets in Luzora task content.

  3. 5.3 Security actions

We may require password re-entry, email verification, session refresh, rate limits, security checks, logout, account review, or other protective measures when we reasonably believe they are needed to protect you, Luzora, other users, or our service providers.

6. License to use Luzora

  1. 6.1 Limited license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use Luzora for its intended purpose.

  2. 6.2 Restrictions

You must not copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, commercially exploit, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, harvest, or extract source code from Luzora, except where the law clearly gives you that right despite these restrictions.

  3. 6.3 Updates

Luzora may update automatically through browser stores, our website, or supported update channels. Updates may add, modify, or remove features, fix bugs, improve security, or change compatibility requirements.

7. Your content and task data

  1. 7.1 Your content remains yours

You keep ownership of the task titles, project names, folder names, links, recurrence settings, completion records, feedback, and other content you submit, save, or create in Luzora.

  2. 7.2 License you give Luzora

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, format, back up, sync, analyze, and otherwise use your content only as needed to provide, maintain, protect, troubleshoot, and improve Luzora, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

  3. 7.3 Your responsibility for content

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, quality, reliability, and appropriateness of anything you save in Luzora. You must have the rights needed to save links, names, task content, project names, feedback, and other content you submit.

  4. 7.4 Sensitive content warning

Do not store sensitive secrets or highly confidential information in Luzora. Saved links, task titles, project names, folder names, and reminder text may reveal personal workflows, work routines, websites, or private plans. Use judgment before saving anything sensitive.

8. Browser permissions and page features

  1. 8.1 Permissions

Luzora may request browser permissions such as active tab, tabs, scripting, storage, alarms, notifications, and host permissions for services used by Luzora. Browser stores may describe these permissions in broad language.

  2. 8.2 Current page and Luzora Bolt

When you open Luzora, use "Add current website", trigger Luzora Bolt, or use a related feature, Luzora may read limited information from the active page, such as the title, URL, favicon, metadata, headings, visible labels, and common page patterns, to help suggest or save a task.

  3. 8.3 No sensitive field reading

Luzora is designed not to read passwords, payment details, private form values, seed phrases, private keys, or hidden sensitive form values. You must not try to use Luzora to collect, extract, store, or expose another person's private information.

  4. 8.4 Browser and store control

Your browser, operating system, and extension store may control installation, updates, permissions, notification delivery, storage behavior, and compatibility. We are not responsible for browser-store decisions, browser bugs, operating-system restrictions, permission prompts, or changes by browser vendors.

9. Natural-language entry, reminders, and sync

  1. 9.1 Natural-language parsing

Luzora may parse task text to infer dates, times, frequency, links, projects, website names, and recurrence rules. You are responsible for reviewing the generated task details before saving them.

  2. 9.2 Reminder reliability

Luzora reminders are convenience features, not guaranteed alarms. Notifications may be delayed, blocked, silenced, duplicated, or missed because of browser settings, operating-system settings, focus modes, battery settings, network issues, service downtime, time-zone changes, extension updates, or device behavior.

  3. 9.3 Sync reliability

Luzora sync depends on your device, browser, network, Supabase, and our backend configuration. Sync may fail, lag, conflict, or become unavailable. You are responsible for checking important tasks and keeping separate records for critical obligations.

  4. 9.4 Not for critical deadlines

Do not rely on Luzora as your only system for medication, safety, legal filing dates, court dates, financial deadlines, medical appointments, emergency actions, or other critical tasks.

10. Prohibited conduct

You must not, and must not help anyone else, attempt to do any of the following:

  1. 10.1 Illegal or harmful use

Use Luzora for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory, exploitative, or unauthorized purposes.

  2. 10.2 Interference

Interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, probe, scan, test, bypass, or compromise Luzora, our security controls, our rate limits, our infrastructure, our service providers, or another user's account.

  3. 10.3 Malicious code

Upload, submit, link to, transmit, or use malware, viruses, worms, spyware, credential stealers, scripts, automation, bots, or code designed to damage, interfere with, exfiltrate, or gain unauthorized access.

  4. 10.4 Scraping and competing use

Scrape, crawl, harvest, mine, bulk export, or train models on Luzora content, interfaces, designs, code, or user data without our prior written permission, or use Luzora to build or improve a competing product or service.

  5. 10.5 Impersonation and misrepresentation

Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your identity or affiliation, create misleading usernames, submit false account information, or make it appear that Luzora endorses you or your content without written permission.

  6. 10.6 Sensitive data misuse

Use Luzora to collect, save, expose, sell, transfer, or misuse passwords, payment data, private keys, seed phrases, authentication tokens, private communications, confidential information, or personal information without a lawful basis and proper permission.

11. Third-party services and links

  1. 11.1 Service providers

Luzora may rely on third-party providers, including Supabase for authentication, database, sync, password reset, and account actions; PostHog, Google Analytics, and Vercel Web Analytics for product and website analytics; Resend or other email providers for account-related emails; hosting providers; browser vendors; extension stores; and favicon or icon services.

  2. 11.2 Separate terms

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, uptime rules, support rules, and account requirements. We do not control those terms, and your dealings with third parties are between you and the third party.

  3. 11.3 Links you save or open

Luzora may let you save, open, or copy links. You are responsible for checking links before opening them. We are not responsible for websites, downloads, content, scams, malware, data practices, availability, or actions of third-party sites.

  4. 11.4 Social pages

If you visit Luzora social pages or external communities, the platform's own terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for the acts, posts, messages, or data practices of social platforms or their users.

12. Privacy, data deletion, and local storage

  1. 12.1 Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Luzora collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and deletes personal information. By using Luzora, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

  2. 12.2 Local browser storage

Luzora may store session data, drafts, settings, profile cache, task cache, preferences, notification settings, language settings, shortcut settings, analytics identifiers, and reminder state in your browser. Clearing browser data, uninstalling the extension, changing devices, or changing browser profiles may remove or affect local data.

  3. 12.3 Clear task data

Clear task data is different from deleting your account. It may remove tasks, projects, folders, links, task versions, and completion records while keeping your account, profile, preferences, login, and some usage metadata active.

  4. 12.4 Account deletion

You may request account deletion through available product flows or our data deletion page. Deletion may remove your Luzora account, profile, task data, projects, task versions, and completion records from Luzora-managed active systems, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and operational retention described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Free features, paid features, referrals, and tips

  1. 13.1 Free access

Luzora may offer free features. We may add limits, change limits, remove free features, introduce paid plans, or require payment for certain features in the future. If we introduce paid features, we will show the applicable price and material payment terms before charging you.

  2. 13.2 Future paid plans

If paid plans are introduced, you agree to pay the fees and taxes shown at checkout or in the plan terms. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, fees may be non-refundable once paid.

  3. 13.3 Referrals and rewards

Luzora may offer referral, invite, reward, waitlist, beta, or promotional features. We may set eligibility rules, detect abuse, withhold rewards, modify rewards, end promotions, or correct errors. Unless we expressly state otherwise, referral counts and rewards have no cash value.

  4. 13.4 Tips and donations

If tips, donations, or support payments are enabled, they are voluntary support payments and do not buy ownership, equity, control, guaranteed features, guaranteed support, or a right to future services. Unless we state otherwise or the law requires otherwise, voluntary tips and donations are non-refundable.

14. Intellectual property

  1. 14.1 Luzora materials

Luzora, including our software, extension code, website, designs, icons, logos, text, graphics, flows, interfaces, product names, branding, documentation, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

  2. 14.2 No transfer

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Luzora or any Luzora intellectual property to you. You receive only the limited right to use Luzora as described in these Terms.

  3. 14.3 Trademarks

You may not use the Luzora name, logo, icons, branding, trade dress, or confusingly similar marks without our prior written permission, except to accurately refer to Luzora in a lawful, non-misleading way.

15. Feedback

  1. 15.1 Voluntary feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, screenshots, comments, or other feedback, you give us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

  2. 15.2 No confidential feedback

Do not send confidential information in feedback unless we specifically ask for it and agree in writing to treat it as confidential.

16. Product changes and availability

  1. 16.1 Changes to Luzora

We may add, change, pause, limit, remove, rename, redesign, or discontinue any part of Luzora at any time. We may also change backend providers, extension-store channels, browser support, notification behavior, or sync behavior.

  2. 16.2 Availability

We do not guarantee that Luzora will be available, secure, uninterrupted, accurate, compatible, error-free, or free from data loss. We may perform maintenance, respond to incidents, disable features, or restrict access without prior notice where reasonably needed.

  3. 16.3 Beta and early-stage features

Some features may be experimental, beta, incomplete, or changing quickly. Beta features may be less reliable and may be modified or removed without notice.

17. Suspension and termination

  1. 17.1 Your right to stop

You may stop using Luzora at any time. You may uninstall the extension, stop visiting the website, clear task data, or request account deletion where available.

  2. 17.2 Our right to suspend or terminate

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Luzora immediately if we reasonably believe that you breached these Terms, created risk for Luzora or others, violated law, infringed rights, misused the product, abused our systems, failed security checks, or caused us or our providers legal or operational risk.

  3. 17.3 Effect of termination

When your access ends, your right to use Luzora ends. We may delete, retain, or handle account and task data as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including clauses about ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, disputes, and general terms.

18. Disclaimers

  1. 18.1 As-is service

Luzora is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, compatibility, and error-free operation.

  2. 18.2 No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee that Luzora will make you more productive, prevent missed tasks, preserve all data, detect every current page correctly, parse every natural-language task correctly, deliver every notification, or meet your specific needs.

  3. 18.3 Non-excludable rights

Some laws give you rights that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those rights where doing so would be unlawful.

19. Limitation of liability

  1. 19.1 Excluded losses

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luzora and our personnel, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, reputation, data, tasks, reminders, saved links, or productivity, even if we were advised that such losses could happen.

  2. 19.2 Liability cap

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to Luzora or these Terms is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid to Luzora in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $100.

  3. 19.3 Exceptions

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that applicable law says cannot be limited.

20. Indemnity

  1. 20.1 Your indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Luzora and our personnel, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors from and against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to your use of Luzora, your content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, your misuse of browser permissions, or your infringement of another person's rights.

  2. 20.2 Cooperation

We may control the defense and settlement of any matter subject to indemnity. You agree to cooperate reasonably with us. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent.

21. Disputes and governing law

  1. 21.1 Informal resolution first

If a dispute arises, you agree to contact us first at hello.luzora@gmail.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. We will try to resolve disputes fairly and in good faith.

  2. 21.2 Individual disputes

To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative action.

  3. 21.3 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Luzora is legally organized or principally operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless consumer protection law requires a different rule. Courts with authority over that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you mandatory rights to bring claims elsewhere.

22. Changes to these Terms

  1. 22.1 Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated Terms, changing the "Last updated" date, sending an email, showing an in-product notice, or using another reasonable method.

  2. 22.2 Continued use

Your continued use of Luzora after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using Luzora.

23. General terms

  1. 23.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and us about Luzora and replace any earlier understandings about the same subject.

  2. 23.2 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, or by operation of law.

  3. 23.3 Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will remain in effect.

  4. 23.4 No waiver

If we do not enforce a provision right away, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later. A waiver must be written and signed by us to be effective.

  5. 23.5 Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet failures, hosting failures, browser-store actions, provider outages, labor issues, war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, power failures, government actions, or security incidents.

  6. 23.6 Notices

We may send notices by email, in-product message, website posting, browser-store update notes, or another reasonable method. You must keep your email address current. Notices to us should be sent to hello.luzora@gmail.com.

  7. 23.7 Language

If these Terms are translated, the English version controls to the fullest extent permitted by law.
